I am looking into getting a full featured photo editor for my Ax so I can work on web images and things like that away from home. I've been looking at Photogenics and Pocket Artists and it looks like they both have good features, but I don't know which is better. So now I need to hear some recomendations/testemonials about each so I can get a better idea of what suites my needs the best. Thanks all!
I've never even heard of PhotoGenics, but from what I've used of PocketArtist.. I love it. The problem is.. it's too much that I don't need. It had a lot of nice features, but when I want to draw something simple it's really much more of a hassle.
I know PocketArtist has a 30 day trial. I betatested the most recent version, and it is sweeet.
I don't have either, but looking at the list of features Pocket Artist seems to be the program I'd choose. It opens psd files, even preserving layers and layer opacity (but not layer effects), and generally resembles photoshop in a lot of ways, particularly the image adjustment options. PhotoGenics seems like its geared more toward original artwork creation (and can only open jpg, bmp, gif and tga), while Pocket Artist seems more for photo editing and manipulation (although if I were to go by name only, I'd probably assume the opposite...)
Pocket Artist is the PPC equvilent of Photoshop...it does just about everything to an image you could need. My only hang-up was the price. I use Pocketpainter, works just as good and allows me to do quick sketches, crops and photo adjustments...ebst part it was only 25 instead of 50 bucks. Here's a link.
Would you go as far as to say that Pocket Painter is the Paint Shop Pro equivilant for PPC? I am trialing it right now, and so far I really like it because it supports VGA and landscape. I am going to try it out before I make a final decision on buying it, but so far I really like this program. Thanks so much for the recomendation (and probably saving me money too!)
