After installing and then removing various trial programs (such as Pocket Plus) I have noticed quite a few files in the Windows Folder that appear to be Orphans. I have Pocket Mechanic and it doesn't really find anything. My question is how can I cleanup all the orphan files and if a Hard Reset is the only answer does it Really Remove everthing and put it back to Factory status?
I have never used PocketMechanic, but MemMaid seems to do a nice job for me. A hard reset seems pretty dramatic, but it will clean up your system. Good Luck~

THX,the files are NOT really hurting anything just bothering me because their there. I know just how well Microsoft's uninstall works and figured that this would be the same. Thus I find the files.
If you know for sure they are for a program you removed you could try and just delete them Seeings as you are considering a hard reset anyway, if it does not work out you can do the reset then. Just a thought....

I'm using SKTools to keep things cleaned up. So far, I haven't found any app as thorough as Unintsall Manager on the Palm for keeping the system pristine.

Use the uninstaller module in SKTools. Since I bought SKTools, I've used their uninstaller when I want to remove an app. Does a more thorough job @ removing the apps files and registry entries . . .
