Yes, when you installed PTVL, in the PTVL installation window where you input your UserID and Password is the Zap2it code. Try reinstalling or else searching around on your existing PTVL installation for this info.

Aha, there seems to be a limit to the number of channels! When I selected the digital lineup of 400 channels, only 300 got written (with random gaps in the channels).

I cut it down to 300, and 200 got written.

Then I only chose the first 70, and I got them all. Anyone know what the limit is?

And another thing, it gets tiresome to re-sort channels it everytime I open the application. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I have an x50v, and haven't had any problems with the number of channels, or with loosing the channel order !! Maybe this happens to just some devices ???

Anyway, here is a link I posted earlier in this thread.. Talks a little about the channel order problem !!

I just saw in weblink "Your Zap2it Data Direct account will expire at 08/08/05 21:05:10"

So our accounts are only good for 3 months, then we have to sign up again???

no, they send you an email with a link to a quick survey that renews your account for another 3 months.

Ah, tx for the quick reply.

I've got one more. It told me that my listings data was out of date. I had just synched so i thought that was weird. I tried again. ActiveSync says "ListingsData - Synchronized" but it still said my listings data was out of date.

I went into WebLink -> Tools -> Settings -> and selected 'Enable Auto Download' and deselected 'Only Auto Download When Minimized or Hidden.'

Will that enable my data to stay up to date just by synching? I don't want to have to run Weblink before I sync every few days.

Any tips on how to automate the download? I am using the Weblink utility.

If I have it configured to D/L 7 days worth, will it automatically download every seventh day? Or will it get 7 days worth of listings every day? How can I specify the time of download?

I'm not sure how the AutoDownload works ! I've been doing it Manually.. I just went in and changed my settings, and we'll see what happens !! :exc:

I don't think we can choose the download "time".. WebLink says it will check "Periodically" !! How often that is, I guess we'll see !!!

Hi All,

Ok, here we go again !!

I recently purchased Juni's "Navagator Skin Suite", and I think it is simply Great !!

I decided to create a skin that would compliment the great art that Juni has created, and PTVL came to mind !

So, with Juni's blessing, here it is.. I call it "Woodie"...

Enjoy !!!!!!

* Edit: This skin is too large to post here, due to the detail of the VGA graphics !!
If anyone would like a copy, just PM me with your email address, and I'll send you one !!!

Just a note for those of you outside of North America. The WebLink program that downloads television listings is primary designed for use with Zap2It, however it has an option to import XMLTV listings. XMLTV supports international television programming. You can find out more about XMLTV at it's website where you can download XMLTV for free (it's open source).

You can also grab the XMLTV Automate program in order to set a schedule and keep your television listings up-to-date automatically.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I tried to use xmltv, but the script doesn't seem to be running too well. I am using an account with password. An image of the dos box will be attached to this post, but it may be a bit fuzzy due to size limitations. Any clues?

Martin

See how the above image has 9 rows of channels? On my x50v, I only see 4 rows of channels. I cannot figure out why. Does anyone have any ideas? I sure would like to use ZapMe1's skin.

Thanks,
Dobermann

Hi Dobermann,

Can you post a screen shot ? Sounds like you are running in QVGA !!
Can you see the "channel details" on the top right of your display ?
Does it look like the screen shot above, but with just 4 channels ??
Let me know, if you are in VGA mode with PTVL, then I could try sending you another copy !!

[QUOTE=SolSie]Just discovered the free PTVL utility. Available here:
http://ptvl.thumbsupsoft.com/

The VGA Skin can be downloaded here:
http://discussion.brighthand.com/sho...hreadid=117748

Well I really like this program, and I love the VGA skin too. However, I've recently been having some issues with the program that make me question how free it is.

Lately PTVL is refusing to show me most programs in Prime Time. From about 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM Central, I get nothing in the grid. Then I can see programs again at midnight? Anyone else have this sort of issue?

Also, when I go to the Registration tab in Setup, there is a number already provided for me in the Registration Key field, but when I click OK (changing nothing) it says the registration key is invalid.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I wonder if someone could help?
I had to do a restore and the program, PTVL is there to open, but it does not show available to sync with ActiveSync. Before I could go to Options and the program was there. IU would check the box and it would then sync.
I ran Weblink but I guess it's not transfering over to AS?

TIA
