Adobe Reader for PPC 2.0 - HELP!!!

I have had an ongoing problem that I can not seem to find an answer for. I have an Axim x50v. I can not view any files that I scan into my desktop as a PDF file. I have tried using Adobe Reader 7.0 and 6.0 for the desktop and I have been using Adobe Reader for PPC 2.0 for the Axim. The error message I am getting is:

There was an error opening this document. This is either not a supported file type or the file has been corrrupted.

I've looked all over Aximsite and Adobe websites to no avail. I would really like to use the free Adobe software without having to buy a 3rd party software. However, if I have to, I will go 3rd party.

PLEASE, can someone help me?!

Check the version you are saving them in on the desktop. Also how are you moving them to the ppc? If you use actisync it formats them to work better on the ppc. I have a bit of experience using Adobe Reader with my own created pdfs. Post details and I will try to help.

Hi Calgary Cowboy, if you are still interested in assisting, I will post some details. I am using a Canon CanoScan LIDE 30 to scan documents as PDF files. I then take the PDF files and put them into the "PocketPC My Documents" folder. Then they sync to the PPC, but when I open the documents up, I get the following message

There was an error opening this document. This is either not a supported file type or the file has been corrrupted.

I tried to used ClearVue to open this file, which it did, but showed the whole document as black.

I am wondering it the problem is in the way the file is being scanned in. I don't have any problems opening the file using Reader 7.0 on my desktop. I also don't have problems reading other PDFs created by other people; just the ones that I scan in.

Perhaps another option, if I can't figure out where the scanning problem is, would be to find a way to convert the scanned PDF file into a workable PDF file that my PPC can read.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I think its how you are creating the PDFs. You can try creating PDFs with acrobat pro which should solve the problem.

Try using PrimoPDF for your conversions. It's free and works great on PPC Adobe Reader:
