it just says connecting to sync. avantgo.com:80 but it never finish synchronize

I just went through this. I found (root cause still unknown) that my password as stored on my X5 in
settings->connections->Avantgo connect->properties->set password
had been wiped clear. When I restored the pw, all was well again. I wish I'd caught this BEFORE I did the hard reset and rebuild...

Over the past 2 weeks or so, the Avantgo servers have been slow when it gets to the point of saving updated web pages to the device. By slow I mean taking up to 5 minutes to finish. If this is not the problem, try the FAQ support questions at the Avantgo site.

Yup, they've been really slow but of late (the last few days), it's sped up considerably. It used to take me 10 mins to sync, now I get it done under 3.
