I am about to buy PocketBreeze using the 50% off coupon and I am wondering what most people think of ContactBreeze and PocketWeather. Do you use them a lot? Also is the VGA18 Icon Set for PocketBreeze necessary.
In addition, I hear folks talk about WeatherPanel. Are there any comparisons between WeatherPanel and PocketWeather?
I love Pocket Breeze and iLauncher, which are great products with great service to go along with them. Personally, I don't use my Contact Breeze much. But YMMV.

i use pocket breeze, pocket contact, pocket weather, and iLauncher. They are very reasonably priced, and are very easy to use. I like them a lot, and use them constantly. As to whether they are better than any others... I just know I like them.

PocketBreeze for me is a no-brainer.
Once you have that, install ContactBreeze and use the 6 day trial. Only you can decide whether it's something you'll use.
Regarding WeatherPanel and Pocket Weather, they are competitors. Again, try them and see which one you like better.
As for CB and PW, perhaps trying the demos may help you decide. I've not tried WeatherPanel so can't say if it's better but these days, I've come to realise that a weather indicator is quite important.
I bought the VGA18 Icon set and don't know that I use it on my x50v. I'm not much of an icon guy ... but hey, it was $5 so I figured I'd grab it.
Pocket Breeze is a definite and I use Contact Breeze. It's very convenient when I'm looking for a number to have it on the today page. The tabbed directory buttons are very helpful.
As for the weather program. I use Weather Panel and think it's great. It does exactly what I want and I like the flexibility it offers with the variety of views and skins.
Pocket Weather is one of the best weather update products I've seen. You can get radar images downloaded to your PPC, expanded data on your position and monitor 6 sites at once. Rocks!
Pocket Weather is outstanding and a must for me. I have three small children and we live in Oklahoma which has the craziest weather. I check this app every day so I know how to dress myself and the kids. It also monitors several cities at once. Pocket Breeze is sweet if you use the organizer software on your Pocket PC extensively (and who doesn't?). All your pertinent calendar and task info is displayed on your today screen. It also can keep PocketRSS in a tab to conserve screen space.
I couldn't live without ContactBreeze, between work and personal numbers, I must have over 300 contact entries, and with sequential search I can find any of them with three or for taps searching for a last or first name.
I have been using PB and PW for a few months now and wonder how I ever managed without them. I like PW because of its clean interface. I can monitor weather for several different cities. And it is easy to use.
PW has really helped with my calender. In all honesty I probably don't even use half of the features this nifty little utility has to offer. But I like that it is skinnable and is very customizable (is that a word?). I can change how much Today screen real estate it takes up, how many days it displays, display my tasks right there with my calender...the list goes on and on. I really like the new feature where you can add another Today screen plugin so you can switch between PB and the plug in. It has really helped me keep my Today screen clean.
I also recently tried iLauncher and it is great! If you're looking for a plug-in to add program icons to your Today screen this is it. Again, lots of features available.
As for extra icon sets for any of these? It's entirely up to you. I sometimes will switch out icons on PW just because I see something I want to try but other than that I really don't use them.
PocketBreeze is a lifesaver. Weatherpanel is great for all the stats they have. I have PocketPlus for my today stuff and it launches all the programs I need from conveinant tabs. Try the trials, that's what I did.
