Intellisync w/Lotus Notes Errors

Hi - anyone experiencing synch errors w/Intellisynch v. 5.01 and the Axim? I have had nothing but problems synching to Lotus Notes 4.5 - I get hang-ups in the synch and now I get a weird error message refering to a database that I don't have.

I've spent over 10 hrs w/the Pumatech Intellisync help desk over 4 days - we finally got the synchronization to work, however it failed me again the next day with a new error message.

There must be a better way!

Thanks.

I use mNotes from www.commontime.com. It works much better than Intellisync. I know that it's not what you want to hear, but the last sentence said, "There must be a better way!" :D

Intellisync is flat out garbage with Lotus Notes. To say Intellisync is a finished product is laughable. mNotes from www.commontime.com is as painless as should be expected. Don't take my word for it, download the evaluation copy and wave your Intellisync nightmares goodbye.

For sure, for sure. mNotes is the way to go. What exactly is the error you are getting anyway? It may be something I've seen before.

Since I'm a happy convert to mNotes, I don't have the error codes written down anymore. One was after a couple of day working ok, a runtime C++ error developed after crashing on win2000. It seems it was only related to the calendar sync. Disable calendar sync and mail, task and contacts were ok. No uninstall or reinstall would fix it. Even after I deleted everything that even started with intelli. I called support on another issue right after installation to get sync which they couldn't help me on. A uninstall and a reinstall got me running. I spent hours working with Intellisync and about 5 with mNotes.

There were times with Intellisync when upon putting the Axim in the cradle, boom Intellisync error. Take it out, put it back in and all was "well".

Another difference, which I don't know if it's related to a configuration issue is that Intellisync was mighty slow performing the sync process. mNotes completes everything in seconds.

mNotes is idiot proof. I don't want to think about syncing. I want drop the thing in the cradle and forget about what goes on.

Hey Everyone - thanks a bunch for your replies. I have been converted! I am now on day 3 with mNotes and I can synch everthing, including my inbox and sent box virtually trouble free. I had a few questions on functionality and just emailed commontime.com, they responded to all 4 of my separate inquiries promptly - no troubles at all.

I think my next $75 will be going to commontime.com. I was hoping for a less expensive option for synch software, but they've got me hooked now.

By the way, Intellisync support was persistent and tried hard to help me, however there were just no good solutions - I would get "database does not exist" or "cannot find application data" and also an error asking me to "check your Omnigo database" - which I dont' have.

I'm happy now - I recommend mNotes to anyone out there!

:D
