app to convert *.bmp to *.jpg on my AXIM?

hi all.
i do lots of screen shots when i install, un install different apps. getting a feel for my new AXIM and its capabilities.
i do nightly backups too.

as i do screen shots (i use Pocket Screen Capture v.1.0 from http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=3100 )
and i often share my screen shots on here or other forums, as i would like to make a few tutorials on how to get around for new AXIM newbies.

so, IS there a PPC2002 app that can convert *.bmp to *.jpg?

very strange, cause ive looked for that app on my unit, and i dont find it there.

http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/photoviewer/
and on Handango.com and PocketGear.com, they are commercial apps.

my AXIM did not come with the installation CD. was this supposed to be on there? cause i was told that the only thing i needed is MS ActiveSync.

The X5 shipped with 2 CDs, one being an applications disk that contained some demos and freebies. It's unfortunate that you didn't get the apps disk because of (2) excellent full version programs, one being the OEM Resco Picture Viewer I mentioned and the other is a powerpoint application called IA Presenter.

It's true that Activesync (and the USB driver) were the only requirements but these perks were a nice addition

Try XNVIEW, it's free and can convert between JPEG, GIF, BITMAP and PNG files, don't know a link offhand but you should be able to google it. Can't say for sure if it works on 2002, I use 2003SE but it is probably worth a look.
