Free Must have applications

Launcher is a today screen add-on. It adds an icon bar, much like Windows's Quick Launch bar. You can place as many applications (screen space permitting) to it's list as you wish simply by copying link files into the Launcher folder, and launch the applications with one tap. It is so simple and cool! By using this program you can put your most used program short cuts on the launcher bar and the rest of what you use somewhat less frequently on the start tab. Now all of your programs are only a click or two away. I would say this is a must have program, once you start using it you will wonder how you ever got along with out it. This program is 15.5 KB and I installed it into the main memory of my Axim it runs with no problems on my device. The price on this program is also one of its great features, it’s free! Power off: It adds an icon to the system tray to turn the unit off with out having to use the power button.
This is another very good must have program that is free. This one I put into the internal Ram of my Axim because it is only 5 KB.

Conversion: Converts various forms of measurements, It works great if you need a conversion program, do I need to say more? Ok, I run this from my SD card without any problems. It’s a whopping 20.5-kb.

Phyllis: A two-player card game that you can play against your PocketPC. I have not played it much yet but it seems very interesting. It resides on my SD card and runs with no problems. It is 33 KB large.

Puzzle Of Pipes: This is a cross between the classic game Pipe Dreams and those sliding picture puzzle games. You have to rearrange the pieces before the water begins flowing! It’s a great game! I love this game and play it all the time, but I can’t figure out why I’m so bad at it. It resides on my SD card and runs with no problems. It’s 60 KB.

the converter one is GREAT! ive been looking for something like that, but something not HUGE like 90% of the ones out there.

Launcher works great ... almost like a desk-top now.

One of my other must-have apps is the MS PPC 2002 Theme generator. It installs on your PC, and auto installs the themes to the Axim.

I do not know. I tried Gigabar and did not like it at all. I had many problems with it and found that it was just not worth it for me.

I'm pretty new to this pocket pc idea. I had a palm pilot, but then i saw the light and decided to reform my evil ways. anyway, I don't know any good places to find pocket pc software, especially free software. Where can I pick up the files refered to above?

I am running Launcher, Conversion and Poweroff all at the same time with Gigabar. No problems, here. :D
