I usually keep a record of my car's fillups, oilchanges, and maitenance. I used to use my Palm to do this and it worked out well. But I can't find a free software to do this with PPC02 (and yes i'm too cheap to spend money on something this simple). I know I could use Excel to keep track of it; but where the fun in that .

Anyone have any ideas or links?

I was in the same position. I used to use a Palm Program that was either free or nearly so. I couldn't find a free one for Pocket PC, so I ended up demonstrating a couple, including Personal Vehicle Manager shown above. I ended up paying for it. (Although I got a 20% discount from Handago because I had also purchased Pocket Informant from the site and that was a benefit to doing so.)

It's a pretty good program, though. It's nice and easy to use while in the car. The data can also be exported for viewing on Excel on the desktop.

I tried the desktop application, too. I didn't bother keeping that. Not worth it. (But, I did use it to enter a bunch of data to update the handheld program first.)

The only thing I'd like to see on the PDA version is a column showing the "trip" amount of mileage. I like to use that a gauge to see how much I'm getting on a tank. You can enter the information in the notes field, but it doesn't show up in the desktop version or in Excel.

Hope that helps.
