Mine did this several times yesterday and was whenever I used settings (a bug it would seem). One of the problems I found was with the Juni skin I was using. When I went back to using his black and white one it seemed more stable altough the brightness option is visually corrupted. After I had reinstalled it I also found that you had to make sure that you used the green tick and red cross at the bottom to select and exit settings when changing the themes. I have also given more memory to the system. This all seemed to work - very very hit and miss and may have just been luck. Just to be sure I have turned off the option to expand the system selection (annoying but a temporary workround).

None of this is probably of any use but just at least thought it may help to be aware of others having problems with what appears to be a problem with the program.

Try setting your ax to auto. I never really liked it till I actually used it...
