Hmm MUltI iE

HELP!

Anybody have problems with Southway Corporations MultiIe program?

Being a Palm convert I got used to freeware utilities that do more than this and when the trial expired I could not see paying that much for this so I want to uninstall.

The uninstaller tells me that ishell32.dll is locked and wants me to stop all running apps but that does not work. And yes, I did a soft reset.

Is this sort of behavior intentional? Like "Fine! you don't want to pay for our wonderful software?... SCREW YOU!"

... or just the price of running a real OS on a PDA?

either way My PIE is gone along with every other app that needs to get out via proxy.

pfffft.

I had similar feelings about multi IE, especially after the demo had expired and PIE was having fits.

A soft reset should allow you to uninstall it.

Turn multiIE off first then uninstall it, then do it again after a soft-reset. I happen to love multiIE myself. You turn off multiIE by going to multIE options > About

Give ftxpbrowser a try if you're looking for freeware SnakeFarm.

If there's a link to MultiE in the \Windows\StartUp folder, delete it, then soft reset, uninstall. If it's starting from the registry, you can use MemMaid to remove the startup entry.
