Wisbar Advance 2.4.0.1

Has anyone downloaded the newest version of wisbar? (just released a few days ago).

I just installed it and it seems to have slowed down my axim significantly compared to the last version of WA2? Anyone else having the same problem.

I noticed the same problem. At first I had 2.4.0.1 installed in BIS, but it brought my X50V to a crawl so I tried reinstalling it in RAM. I still had some lag, so I ended up uninstalling WisBar altogether and the problem went away. I'm also using SPB Pocket Plus 2.5, which could be a factor - are you running any other plugins?

yes i'm also using sbp pocket plus 2.5 so that may be the reason. I guess i'll have to go back to the old wisbar.

I've got the lastest WA2 and Pocket Plus 2.5 and it's fine.
Have you turned off the Task Manager in Pocket Plus?
You shouldn't ever try running two different task managers.

Also, have you uninstalled ALL previous version of WA2?

Well I just installed the new version of WA2, so i'm assuming it automatically upgraded the previous version. How do I turn of the task manager in SPB?

thanks

This is never a good assumption in the PPC world.

I hate that Chris over at Lakeridge doesn't make this required or at least suggested procedure.
I have heard about so many cases now where a complete uninstall and reinstall has fixed things.

Go into the Settings for WA2 and make sure that Run at Startup is NOT selected.
Then do a soft-reset and afterward, uninstall any version of WA2 as you normally would.
You didn't say which version you were upgrading from but the latest version installs into Program Files/Lakeridge/WisBar Advance.
Earlier versions installed into Program Files/WisBar Advance.
Go into File Explorer and delete both folders if you find them.
Then reinstall the latest version as normal.

To disable the task manager in SPB go to File Explorer and browse to the Program Files/PocketPlus folder and run "PlusOptions.exe".
Make sure that Close Button is not checked.

Weird!

Installed it on my X50v which already had SPB Pocket Plus 2.5 with SPB Weather installed as a tab; Themedream 3, etc, etc installed and it all works fine! No slowdown! w00t!

I forgot that I installed this earlier this week. I did an uninstall and reinstall to BIS so I had to download it again and got the new version. Should give you an idea it worked fine for me.

Great tip on the deselect of startup. Did not even occur to me to kill that off. Clearly that was one of the reason I had do delete some of the files manually.

installed when it was released, works fine with spb 2.5. never disable the taskmanager for spb2.5.

found that the skinned start menu takes abit longer to load. installed in BIS, but i have been installing all wisbar in my BIS, since 2.3.0.4 (or whatever the last stable is) & all their betas
