Exclamation can't uninstall SPB full screen keyboard!

i want to get rid of SPB full screen keyboard, but it won't let me uninstall. it's installed to BIS, and when i try to use "remove programs" it tells me it can't delete it. it won't let me manually delete it, and i can't even reinstall over it because it tells me to uninstall it first!

how can i get rid of this *$%#ing thing?!?

:bang:

Is it being used as the default keyboard? If so, change that and try to uninstall again.

no, it's not the default keyboard. is there a way to remove it from the input options altogether? that way i could reset without it loading, then maybe it would let me uninstall/delete it.

I don't have it installed so I'm not sure, but can you go into Start - Settings - Personal (tab) - Input and see if there are any settings you can change?

Try installing this:

Safemode for PPC

...then try removing it in Safe Mode. I've yet to try this utility, but theoretically, it should work.

Personally, I don't even know why you'd want to uninstall the Spb Full Screen Keyboard... it's easily the most used app on my PPC. :approve:

yeah, i have that installed, but didn't try it. i finally managed to remove it using SK Tools, my new favorite utility. :approve:

i had only installed the trial, and it was only showing the "full screen" keyboard in the top left quarter of my screen, which was even less usable than the default keyboard. i probably downloaded the wrong version originally, but it wouldn't let me install a newer one without un-installing the old one, so it had to go. maybe i'll give it another shot.
