Pocket Informant Notification Error

I installed the PI upgrade yesterday and and have been getting the following message "Cannot execute PINotification.exe" ever since then. I do not know what this means. I just tried to sync, got it again and my x50v froze.

When I ran the upgrade, I got a message about some components being shared with other programs and not updating. I wonder if it was referring to Pocket Breeze or I Launcher.

what to do?

Help and thank you!

Do a soft reset first and test sync again.

Frenchy - thanks so much for the quick reply. I did a few soft resets. Also did a backup/restore and continued to get the message. I have been saving programs to BIS and have been attempting to delete 2 duplicate copies of PI so wonder if this has something to do with it....

Also - when did the backup/restore, I got a message that many .dll files associated with ilauncher, pocetbreeze, calendar, contacts, etc.

what the heck is a .dll file? I have MemMaid and have read a post somewhere that it is great at managing this but don't know what that means.

Thanks all -

If it was me I would try uninstalling then re-installing Pocket informant, then one at a time if necessary the other suspect programs (i.e. keep going until fixed!). Perhaps you have moved/deleted a critical file and this is causing a headache which might be difficult to track down ? (easier to try re-install if you get my drift). Hope this helps.
.dll files you can move from main memory to e.g.filestore but not all can be moved without causing problems like.... well like you now have.... :)
