Does anyone know if Access usually has sales going on NetFront?

Right now it is $19.80 for new users and I was thinking about waiting until they put some VGA loving to the program. Not sure if I should chance losing this price deal when they just might add VGA support in a patch or something.

Au contrare my friend... I'm definitely seeing a performance increase with 3.2 over 3.1. Where did you install 3.2? I installed to my 66x SD card (CAB install with CabInstl) to \SD Card\Program Files\NetFront. Much better Javascript support and the new smart rendering is really nice. The default font appears to be an ugly Times Roman style. Anyone figured out if it can be changed? It appears to work pretty good with OzVGA.

i would agree that the font is terribly ugly...

hhhmmm... might as well try it out installing to my SD card (20MB/s) rather than BIS...

I stumbled on this ... Tools -> Browser Setting -> View. Click on the font "Change" button, select "Use proportional font" and "Use ClearType font", select "Tahoma" and restart. Wow... what a difference. I think I like 75% Zoom, Just-Fit rendering, and Full-Browsing options the best in seVGA mode. Switching to ozVGA mode with these same settings is pretty wild... almost like using a PC browser. "Rapid-Render" doesn't seem to work properly (it's supposed to load images last but I'm not seeing any images at all).

And just when you thought v3.2 was cool, check out the info on v3.3... RSS support! Still, it would be cool if we had a brute-force VGA hack rather than soft-resetting with ozVGA.

what makes netfront so much better than PIE? I've been able to surf everywhere the only thing I really dislike is no java support. Will WM5 change that?

Well, for starters, have you noticed that PIE doesn't handle websites with Javascript and DHTML very well? Can you access your bank account online with PIE? How about sites with pop-down menus, rollover icons, fancy forms elements, etc? Javascript error reporting is turned off in PIE by default so many users don't even notice the lack of these features in many websites. PIE will be updated in WM5 but it won't have as extensive support of Javascript and DHTML as Netfront 3.2.

Read Munk's post above (#12). It's a no-go.

Update: Here's the new hack for NetFront 3.2. Still not perfect though.

I know, it sucks. I think the Cursor Key settings under the Misc tab are broken.

Well, I have installed 3.2 in BIS (the same place 3.1 was installed) -- maybe I'll try reinstalling onto my Ultra II SD card... But currently, performance is worse for me with 3.2 than with 3.1 "when installed in BIS"...

Why when I call the bookmarks, I receive an annoying message "up to 10 bookmarks are listed"? then I can read the bookmarks... :(
