has anybody been able to do the OLD hack of renaming the resorce DLL, As when I installed mine it only installed NF32ResVGA.dll and there was NO non VGA dll installed. I even tried installing it to my Ipaq2210 that is only Qvga, but it still installed NF32ResVGA.dll.

You just delete (or move to another folder) the NF32ResVGA.dll file and it works like the old hack.

Using the brute force file along with renaming NF32ResVGA.dll makes it work quite well in VGA--actually a little better than 3.1. The Flash support and Rapid Render are nice additions, but maybe not worth $15. The SE VGA support using Zoom is very poor--quite a disappointment.

My friend pointed me to a third party site where I could download it cheap. But it only gave me a trial version and a serial code. Can't find a spot for the code to go. Any help? I feel really stupid.

I can't remember for sure, but I think that either there was a menu option for Registration or it was on the About screen. It's been a while since I installed mine.

Yeah... 3.2 was uber dissapointment.
The scroll down thing selecting links is VERY annoying :[
It looks OK in vga with OZ_vga esp the address bar..
I dont like the tabs with the X though it makes it pretty easy to close windows.
But what is wonderful about it is go to the registry and you can set where the temporary internet files go (I put it in the temp folder of ram and 3.2 is installed in bis). If Netfront 3.1 could do that mine would be in the BIS...

Yes, the (in the Registry) relocatable cache is indeed a big jump forward, compared to 3.1. You no longer need to install the entire thing into RAM for the cache to be reasonably fast.
Yes, it's in forced VGA - the icons are small, the text isn't blurred and only the upper half of any text input field (including the address bar at the top) is visible.
As the others have already pointed out, forced VGA isn't the best choice for running this app because of these things. I'd also add some other pros/cons:
Pros: 3.1 bugs corrected in 3.2 - please see the thread linked from the front-page article discussing this stuff.
Better than 3.1 and found a trick online to fool websites
I tried the 3.1 demo version before I installed it on my CF Card and it was slow as hell.
I installed 3.2 demo in Main Memory it was extremely fast. I tried doing some online banking in my secure network and it opened every Secure web site. PIE is not even close.
Finally i bought the Full Version of 3.2 and since the file was bigger than demo version it didn't fit the main memory. Even in CF it's not that slow like 3.1. Also I found a trick online to fool the websites that require ie 6.0 or firefox 1.0. I was even able to pass Yahoo Mail's browser check which I couldn't pass before even with Tweaks2k2. :approve: Here is what you need to do:
1. In Netfront, select, tools, browser settings and then misc tab.
2. At user agent, select the dropdown menu and an empty slot marked '(---)'. Press edit. The title can be anything you like. After adding the below info, to go back to the mobile version, just select Netfront for thr 'user agent'.
3. In Title enter Firefox or anything you like.
4. In user agent field enter 'Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) 6.0'.
5. In App name, enter 'Firefox'.
6. In App version, enter '1.0.4'.
7. In appcodename, enter 'Gecko'.
8. In lang/platform enter 'en/Windows NT'.
9. Websites will identify your device as running Firefox on Windows XP.

if i am not mistaken - this functionality has been with NF since 3.0?
