Is there any usable Photo Viewer for Pocket PC?

So far, I have tried the WM2003SE "Pictures" program, and RESCO Photo Viewer v5.00. They both can't handle high resolution pictures at full size, not to mention RESCO Photo Viewer doesn't run in OzVGA mode on my machine.

When zoomed to 100%, my 2592x1944 pictures look pixelated as though RESCO Photo Viewer limitted the viewable resolution to a certain size. My 10000x7000 jpeg files look like garbage at 100%. I have files much larger than that, but I am sure it's too much for the RESCO program to handle.

The standard "Pictures" program gives an "Out Of Memory Error" message when I zoom in to a certain level, although there's more than 30MB of RAM left for running programs.

Please let me know if I have done anything wrong, or if there's a usable photo viewer program out there for the PPC. Thx

Have you tried XnView? I don't view large files so I'm not sure if it will work, but XnView works well overall.

Moved to Applications.

Maybe thats because the axims screen is only 640x480.

fishwood,

RESCO can't properly display high res files at 100% zoom. That's my problem with it.

I am sure I can get it to run in OzVGA, but its inability to zoom in 100% on very high resolution files kills its usefulness for me.

I don't want to view it at fit-to-full-screen (640x480). I want to view at full size and use the stylus to scroll around.

Sounds like you need a laptop.

XNView works fine for me; even the higher resolutions. Yes, the number of pixels of the Axim is less than your picture, but you would be able to view the file. I personally love it.

Probably you already tried, but in the options for Resco photo viewer, in the image tab there is an option to select the size for the image to load, by default it loads the pictures rezised to 640x480 but in the list there is an option for full resolution
