cTide and "moving" applications

Hello. Hoping someone can help me out. I'm hoping to install cTide, which is an excellent tide tracking application. But, I understand, that it won't work if you do not initially install it to main memory.

However, I just e-mailed the developer, and he kindly replied and said that:

"It should work on a storage card. You just need to manually move the data files there. When you restart cTide it will ask you to find them again. It's the harmonics files in the \Program Files\cTide folder."

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

OK - I answered my own question. I'm putting this information here, just in case someone reads this thread in the future.

Here are the steps to run cTide from a storage card:

1) Download software and follow installation directions for both the main software and the data files. You must first install to the default location, which is "main memory."

2. Using a file management software, such as Resco, either move or cut and paste the files into a cTide folder on your storage card. Be sure to copy both the main program and the data files.

3. Change the shortcut -- making sure to point it to the ctide file on the storage card.

4. Start the software. You will get an error saying it cannot find the data files. Use cTide navigation tool to point the software to the data file on the storage card.

Now you can enjoy this great software -- running it from the memory card.
