Password protected journal/outline software???

Hello,

I'm a recent convert to PPC from Palm. I'm looking for good software solution that will allow me to keep brief journal or log entries that are protected by password.

I did this successfully on Palm with Bonsai, and I really like the outline format.

Thanks for any feedback,
Ben

Have you looked at Journal Pro? Has desktop and PPC versions.

http://www.dsrtech.net/

I use it but sometimes get too busy and don't use it for weeks and sometimes months. I can't type that fast on the PPC so that might be why I don't use it as much as I should.

There should be a demo at Handango.

PhatNotes is an enhanced Pocket Notes replacement, and the Pro version supports encryption. A lot of people like PhatNotes. I am not sure I am one of them, though. I bought a license, but PhatNotes managed to lose memos on two occasions when switching between PhatNotes databases. Not sure what happened but I am wary now. But when it works it is a great hierarchical note taker.

Resco Explorer is a file manager replacement that can also encrypt files, e.g. a PocketWord document (on PPC and desktop). It will be a little inconvenient if you have to decrypt your journal file before use, and encrypt after use, each time...

TreNotes can password-protect its files. I have no idea how secure it is.

Haven't tried this myself yet but looks interesting. Encryption 168 bit etc....if you check it out and like it let me know too !!....

edit: hmmm....well on 2nd thoughts ..not sure if it is what you stated that you want- is more like a diary but seems to have good search capabilities.
