Re: Running programs after pressing the on button

Just found a nice program in the Utilities section - seems no one is that interested at the moment! (originally posed by http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=88640 by deejayspinz who is also the author)

Download it from http://www.picoware.ca/products.asp

But in the author's words are:

"PicoStart serves one simple task. To allow you to load programs when specific events happen on your device. Currently, the supported events are:
On Time Change - triggers when you change the time on your PDA.
On Device Wake Up - trigger when you press the power button (note - does not trigger on a soft reset)."

In other words, it allows you open programs at certain triggers - instead of just at soft reset.

I'm not sure what you would use it for, but I'm sure there's some of us that would find use in it. Especially if other events are supported - such as after syncrhonisation, at certain times, or best yet, when you open a program or close it...

I'm looking forward to further development of this...

Hi,

Thanks for the plug. (I am the author of the tool). For those who are interested, visit the site and look at the forums (you dont have to register to read some of the forums). I am currently working on the next iteration that will support running applications at a specified time (date and time). More will be provided when available.
