Magic Button 3rd icon???
I see that Magic Button has an option for 'show clock and 3 icons' under the settings menu. When I select this option, I can see where there is a space for another icon, but it is blank. What is the 3rd icon used for?
I think it would be great if there were an icon to adjust brightness, which is something I adjust often.

'Show clock and 3 icons' basically means that you will see 3 currently running program icons on the top bar between 'Start' button and Magic Button. If you run a 4th program then you will see a small arrow, clicking on this arrow will show you the list of remaining programs that could not be fitted on the top bar.

Thanks for the reply, but when I select '3 icons', I get a blank space between the house icon and the wireless icon...what is supposed to go in this space?

I guess you didn't understand what CdSlc said. If you run three or more programs, you won't see that space. You are currently seeing that space because you have less than three programs running. Got it?

I understood what he said. But I'm talking about a space that's to the right of the house icon, and between it and the wireless icon. This space is always there when I have '3 icons' selected. Try it - choose '3 icons' and run 4-5 programs, the area to the right of the house doesn't go away.
I was just wondering if there was a use for this space. I have never seen a 3rd icon to fill it.
Guess not.

The icons get filled between the 'Start' button and left of the house.
The space from the right of the house is left blank. No icons come up in that area, irrespective of whatever settings you choose. If you have the Battery status checked, then there would be the small battery bar at the far right hand side of the bar.

Other ways to get icons to the right of the house:
Change the time to include AM/PM.
Add apps such as WordPicker or HandySwitcher which have movable icons.
I suggested to TranCreative that they add the option for more spaces due to the problem caused when adding the AM/PM option. They were extremely cooperative.

Sorry, I should have explained it better. As has been stated, regular running programs' icons are left-justified on the Task Bar so that they appear just to the right of the "Windows/Start" button in the top left corner. Certain system icons are right-justified and appear just to the left of where the "OK" or "X" button would be located on the Task Bar (in the top right corner). These icons include the "speaker" icon for volume and the "conection" icon for Wi-Fi. There aren't many system icons which place themselves on the right-hand side of the Task Bar, which is why for Magic Button, I find the best setting to use is "Show Clock and 2 Icons". Otherwise, you'll always have that space unless you have a specific system icon that needs it.

Thanks for the feedback buys. I appreciate it.
So, I'm not crazy or missing anything - the blank area I've been referring to does stay blank and there are no other magic button system icons to put there.
Like I said earlier, I would love a brightness icon. That's the one thing (albeit a minor one) that I miss by using magic button rather than the dell switcher.
Thanks again.

You can use Switcher with Magic Button. I know the Switcher icon appears in a weird place, and it will display as a white square when Magic Button is running, unless you launch Switcher first and then launch Magic Button.
Regarding a "brightness" icon or slider, I totally agree, and that's why I use the program Spb Pocket Plus which is fantastic (but unfortunately not free). It allows you to put tons of different icons on your Today screen and one of them is a "brightness" slider. See here for screenshots: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/prod...nshots.html?en

I think it is the place for phone Icon, and x50 doesn't have the phone function...so it left blank...I would rather have a better battery icon...the original one is soooooooooooo ugly!
