Backup file size in Sprite Backup.

In Sprite I have scheduled the backup process to run at 5am each day and the backup file is to be created on my SD card with a limit of 2 maximum backup files.

Every morning the backup is automatically done, but the backup file size is 4MB. But if I manually run the backup program then the backup file size is 60MB. Why is this huge discrepancy? Is it possible that Sprite is in some way making incremental backup rather than full backup? Is there some option that I need to turn on or off for full backups?

I am running the latest version 3.1.4 of Sprite. In Sprite Backup options, except for 'Encrypt Backup' everything else is checked. I have lots of free space on my 1GB SD card, so space requirement is not a problem.

Thanks.

When you manually run the backup, you most likely have the Persistent Storages included in the backup. If this is the case, it adds the BIS and SD card contents to the backup. Also ensure that you're using the "Compress Backup File" option.

Yes, when I manually run backup, I include BIS, SD and CF for backup purposes.

Does this mean that Sprite's automatic backup will never backup my BIS, SD and CF? The only way to backup persistent storage is to run the backup manually?

I have the 'Compress Backup File' option checked.

I've not used the automatic backup feature, but I'm sure you have to be able to configure its settings somehow. I'd have a look @ the documentation, and another member should be able to provide more direction. :)
