I've seen a few out on the net, but I'd like to hear from anyone that uses one and get their review. I have over 500 dvd movies, so it's hard to remember what all I have and don't have when out shopping for more.
I'm looking for something like dvd profiler for PC. Mainly one that not only tracks the dvd's I purchase, but also shows the dvd covers.
After searching (doh!) I found a post here that relates back to dvd profiler and them possibly releasing a pocket pc version. I guess I'll hold out for that.

That's what I did, just export from DVD Profiler as an CSV file, use Exel and save it as an XLS file, then send it to the Axim. No pics though, but with 500 DVD's, that would be a lot of space!
I've been using DVD Profiler for a few months now and I've been pretty happy with it's performance. I like the fact that I it shows the DVD Covers and information about the movie and actors. I also loan out DVD's to family and friends and it's got a cool feature that allows you to check in and out DVD's so I always know what's out. I wish they had a version that worked on Pocket PC.

They are "supposedly" working on one. And in the newest PC release, there is even an "Export to DVD Profiler Pocket". When you click it, you get a message box that states: "This option will be enabled with the release of DVD Profiler Pocket."
There is not yet an estimated release date....or any information for that matter, just rumors and this menu.
OK this is what I did and it works great. I use DVD Profiler on my PC. I exported a few fields that I thought would be the most useful to me, to a CSV file. I then used SprintDB, the best database application on the PocketPC, and imported it, spent 5-10 minutes building a form and now I have a great DVD catalog on my PocketPC.
Today I just got MediaWatch from BirdSoft, right now my DVD count is at 85, dman I didnt think I had that many, dosent look like that many! Also I'm afraid to input the cost of each dvd, I kinda don't waan see how much I've spent on DVDs, my fiancee might kill me :p
heres a screen from their website:
can import adn export file types too, this is also for VHS, Games, CD's, Casettes, etc.

come to think of it I think that program also accepts imports of csv files, so maybe you can use that dvd profiler in conjunction with it, but I'm not 100% sure, you might wanna try it out.

Haha....Yeah, these DVDs add up pretty quick. I haven't counted in awhile, but last count I was over 120. I don't use the "Price" feature in any of my DVD tracking software, mainly because I can't remember the prices I paid for them! I rarely pay retail price for them....many came from Columbia House and some of the older ones came from Wal-Mart/Target bargain bins. And MANY, MANY others came from when I worked at Circuit City and got cost on items (not a huge discount on DVDs, but Box Sets were almost 50% off usually).
NMkiD, This software looks pretty good. I'll probably try it out this weekend, well at least if it imports CSV files....don't want to have to retype everything in.

Sad thing about that is finding out how many of them are re-released with new anamorphic masters, and "special editions"!:rolling:
Just tried it and it does export a media.csv file, I dont have the other programs you guy shave tho so I dont know if its compatible but it looks good.
