Resco File Explorer Question

I don't like horizontal scrolling. I can't find a way to setup File Explorer so that all my files are always just stacked single file vertically. I always have to scroll to the right in my larger folders.

Any way around this. This just HAS to be an option...doesn't it?

(or at the very least, can someone tell me how to set it up so that my right D-pad button is a 'page right' instead of just having this button move the highlighted file one file over? Basically what I don't like about horizontal scrolling is having to tediously use my stylus, which I try to avoid.)

I'm not sure what you are seeking. Resco operates pretty much like the desktop Windows File Explorer. You can deselect showing the folder contents under the View menu, which will give you more screen real estate.

Do you mean deselect 'Show Tree View' under the view menu on the main screen? If so, I've already done that and I'm happy with the result - exactly like you said I get more real estate.

But now when I go to a folder with lots of files (like the Windows folder) my files are in columns and to see all of them I have to horizontally scroll to the right. I would rather that they just all be vertically listed in one column so that to see all my files I have to just scroll (or page down with d-pad) down.

Hope that was more clear and thanks for the reply.

Under the popup view menu select 'Details' instead of 'List' and I think you will have the view you want. If you only want the file name in the View Menu under Show Columns deselect everything but Name.

You're the man Ken S. You're the man. Can it be possible that I'm now even happier with an already outstanding program?

Sweet!

Now that you've solved my main problem...one more little question.

Can I change the button settings so down on the d-pad is page-down instead of 1-file-down?

First switch to landscape if possible. With resco click on View > Small icons. That should help.

No, not that I am aware of. Since the D-pad navigation was designed to allow you to navigate with just the D-pad if it allowed you to do this you wouldn't be able to select individual folders.

That said it will scroll through the individual files quite quickly if you hold the D-pad down.

That didn't work for me Ken S. I'm on an X50v. edit: The scrolling thing not the d-pad.
