slow downs, bugs, and other issues with PocketPlus 3.0??

I am now on my second day of using the latest version of PocketPlus...

Aside from the fact that there werent much added in terms of useful functionality
(well, the individual Close buttons for the Task Manager is a welcome addition) - i do find that my System has SLOWED down a bit. Say, something like the WiFi connection (I now get a Yellow status instead of Green), as well as some programs going crazy (like PIE and it failing to Close or Be Closed)...

Could mine be an isolated case? Or is it that the majority are experiencing problems?

PS: using a trick mentioned in a separate thread - i basically MOVED more than half of PP to BIS

I'm running 2.5 and it works just fine. Don't plan to upgrade - what for?

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

I think you can just re-install the old one back over the top of the new version.

I have not had any issues with the new version except that it seems to use more memory.

I have been using 3.0 for several days now and have not had any real problems. Only one was also a problem in 2.5 and it involves a memory leak when using Spb Finance as a tab in Pocket Plus. Otherwise, works great!

If you are using 2.5 will it work with WM5? I would assume that would be the reason for the upgrade.

I tried that and had to hard-reset.
Total system lockup.

PocketPlus "Close Button" functionality suddenly not working

okay - even before i upgraded to version 3... my Ax has been pretty much stable - requiring about one soft reset a day (due to Sprite's automatic backup)

but now, there are cases that the "close button" doesnt work - no matter what i do i cannot make the menu to go down, or to either minimize/close an app, etc.

whats more - as i tried harder on it ---> BAM!!! System Lockup!!!

Looks like quite a few problems reported with this version.

If you're a registered user of version 3.0 and you'd like to roll back to version 2.5 you will still be able to keep the Alt-Tab and the SafeMode functions.
Those two are backwards compatible.

You'll need to edit your registry and move a few files around but it seems to work just fine.

I've also noticed some weird system behaviour (slow downs, crashes) since upgrading to 3.0. I thought it was just my imagination but maybe I'll rolling back to see if it helps. Glad to know i'm not alone.

Darius Wey, contributing editor for PocketPC Thoughts, has made contact with Spb in regards to problems with PocketPlus 3.0...

most notable are slow downs, instability, and sudden memory leaks...

it would really help him if you would relate your experiences to him in that he would forward them to Spb

here is the link:

cheers!!!
