If you just need plain backup and you have a storage card,Dell's pre-installed backup program will serve you well.

I recently upgraded from a iPaq rx3115 to an Axim x50v. My ipaq came with iPaq backup(re-branded sprite). I use it to make images of my PPC without PIM data. It has been very handy. I like having a clean backup of programs and such without PIM data, the PIM data just gets dumped back on on next sync. I don't see a way to do this with that x50v standard backup utility. I'll probably install Sprite on my Axim...
