It can't be too hard to do, as someone else suggested in this thread, if Activestink can already do it. Isn't any speed improvement a good thing if reliability is maintained ? Why do we get faster and faster processors ? Why are programs updated so that they are more efficient and faster ?? Why were we all so happy when the screen responsiveness improved on our X50v with the ROM update? All about saving those microseconds. If I could, I would rather wait just a few seconds to backup, than wait a full minute watching the meter go. Makes people more likely to back up in the first instance, no matter how busy (or not) they are. I'm just surprised something as simple as this is not an option with Sprite (yet).

Thanks for explaining your point of view more clearly ! I just wasn't getting it at all. Now I can see that if it is quick and easy to backup incrementally, one would be tempted to do it manually a number of times a day, instead of just once- a smart thing. So we are not talking about 30 seconds, we are talking 10 minutes if you do 10 daily non-incremental backups ( or whatever, you get my drift)so time taken would be very important since you are waiting for your PPC to finish.

I think you and I just approach back-ups from different perspectives- I rarely/never see mine happen as it does it automatically without any input from me. I guess if I could do both- say full auto back up daily to "Backup folder" then numerous daily incremental backups to another folder, then I could restore from either the last incremental backup ,or my daily backup if there was a problem (corrupted backups *can* occur)......
