axim_wannabe

up until recently ive been having MemMaid flag a certain CLSID entry that is mapped to a "msvc.dll" file...

what is this DLL for?

it is just that no matter how much i clean this entry, it comes back again - just like a zombie that never dies...

any suggestions?

Sorry for the late response.
We're not sure what is this DLL, but the way MemMaid works is that, it checks for all the class Ids and their registered DLLs and if the DLL doesn't exist on your device, MemMaid reports this entry as junk entry.

no... no... there is nothing to apologize for...

i was just wondering if you guys may have an inkling of what this DLL is for...

well, i guess that is why you are in business - there are apps that are NOT designed properly, they dont even clean-up themeselves after leaving...

Based on my knowledge of Microsoft's DLL naming conventions - MSVC.DLL is probably the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library.
