I have been using Microsoft Voice Command for a month or so. It works well but is limited in what it will do. I use it mainly to look up contacts while I travel. It does a fair job of getting the right contact but is not always accurate. You can also start up programs in your start menu and play songs by artist or catagory ect. It does not offer any text to speech feature or visa versa. Basically its a good app as long as long as you don't expect it to do too much.

I've decided the voice dialing software that came with my MDA is so awful I'm going to give voice command a go. Downloaded the 5 day demo this afternoon... and it's pretty good so far.

Flite is text to voice... not voice recognition

Where did you guys install MS Voice Command to? It asks to be installed in main memory. I installed 1.5.. it seemed to be working and then it got stuck.. I tried soft reset and it got stuck again in the password screen. had to do a hard reset. Thank God had sprite backup!

..I'm tempted to try it out again.

I've been using Dragon's Naturally Speaking for about a year now and works real well with the data input(Word, email and notes). I don't use it on the PPC for shortcuts, I do on my laptop and desktop. Get a good microphone...I bought recording microphones instead of the crappy computer ones you can get....HUGE difference.

On the MS website it says that it runs on WM 2003 devices. On the Cnet review it says that MS voice command doesn't work with WM 2003 SE. Anybody got it working on SE?

Yup, works great on my X30H, installed in BIS. One of the first things I bought when I got my Ax. Great for looking up contacts while driving.

err.. this is a little weird. I downloaded the trial version of MS Voice commander unzipped it and installed the .CAB file with cab installer to my SD card.it seems to be working just fine from there (so far). Now what I'm surprised about is that it didn't ask me for registration or anything and I don't see how I can register the product. It seems like its working like the full version! Anybody else tried the trial version of 1.5? are there any limitations to the trial version compared to the full version? Is there a trial period?

oh.. and it is taking about 5MB of RAM..

My mistake, for some reason, some users are getting the full version.
