software not opened

Sometimes when trying to install downloaded software to my AXIM, I get the message "no aplication associated.... start up the progam and try again.... What should I do to get such software working on my ppc?

That doesn't sound like an install file you're using. What are you trying to install and what is the filename called?

Its called "pocket Stars" just to see the yellow pic with the name; but not to be opened and the .exe file not to be seen. I wonder if te easy way is to open it on a PC and than auto syncing it to my ppc. I met this problem earlier with other software.

OK, I just tried installing it and I had no problems. Are you using an .exe file to install? I got mine from Handango (trial version). I downloaded it to my PC and WHILE my Axim was synced, I clicked on the .exe file. I just followed the prompts and the file automatically installed to my Axim. To run the program, I went to Start - Programs and tapped on the Pocket Stars icon.

if it still doesnt work, I have found that taking the axim off the cradle for about 5 seconds and then re-synching it helps the copmuter recognize a "fresh" connection with the axim and installs can go a lot smoother with an exe file.
