...although something seems to be in conflict w/ my tagenda b/c the tasks/calendar will sometimes not appear on my today screen...but if i tap on it, the calendar will still pop up.
I've had the same problem. I love the plug-in, but it's annoying to see the empty space on my Today screen.
I'm running tAgenda with tdLaunch and BatteryTimePlus on the Today screen of my X30 low end model. I'm not sure what the conflict is.
I'm new in the AXIM world, can someone tell me how to install the following applications:
PHM Task Manager
PHM Device Manager
tAgenda
iCbar
they all come with a CAB file with no installation instructions.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Copy the "CAB" file to your My Documents folder and then double tap on it. The cab file is a self executing compressed file. A better solution might be using an application such as "CabInst" it will let you choose where to decompress the cab, the default location is on your device. I am sure you would rather locate some of these files on your storage card. You can find CabInstal here...

I thought I would simplify a little more, because I remember when I first started to use my Axim I didn't have a clue.
In order to copy the cab file to your Axim; sync with your desktop, click on explore in the sync window, select the file you want to open the cab in (it doesn't matter where because when it installs itself it will go to bis) I use the temp folder, drag the cab file from where you have it downloaded to, and drop it in the file you selected earlier. Now go into your PDA and find the file you put the cab file in using file explorer, tap on it and it will install itself. Look for the installed program under "programs" in the start menu. I hope I was some help.
The program "cabinstl" can be drag and dropped to a storage card and works from there. It's fairly simple to use and worth the money (FREE).

Thanks folks. I copied the installation files to my PDA, clicked on the file, then I got the following message: “There is no applications associated with “filename”. Run the application first, then open this file from the application”.
FYI, the installation files doesn’t have the extension CAB, some of them have extension 001, 002, 003, etc.
I unzipped the files , moved them to my PDA, and then tried to click on the installation files (*.001,002,003)then I get the above error message. I even tried the [cabinstl] program but it couldn't recognize the files. Am I missing something here? do I need to install any thing for my OS to be able to recognize CAB files?
Move JUST the CAB files over to the PPC, then run the CAB files by double tapping on the file in File Explorer. They'll install correctly. Make sure that you're moving the ARM CAB files and not the MIPS or SH3 files. Those files are for a processor type that the Axim doesn't use.

FYI: ICbar is not really compatable with the latest Dell Axims.

Unfortunately, all files ends with 001,002,003,..etc. No files with CAB extension. I'm getting really sick because of this problem..
As someone posted earlier, I'd stay away from Icbar. I've also had problems with it. I'm currently using Magic Button and its working out pretty well for me.
Elis_dad, I really appreciate your quick response.
I'm not trying to be pain in the head, but I did downloaded taskmgr.PocketPC_ARM.CAB, unzipped the file, and I found the following files (which non of the has CAB extension)
