well I dont know what Im doing wrong either..... I'm no newbie when it comes to computers either.. anyways. I've used file explorer for active sync and transfered icbar to my axim.. that done I opened file explorer in my axim and there is no self extracting files in there that will execute????
:crooked:
Sorry forget everything I just said. I unzipped the file in my comp. then transfered the folder that was unzipped... I finally figured it out Duh! your suppose to transfer the zip file to your axim and run it from there
I took the zipped file I had saved to my desktop and draged to a window I opened using explore in ActiveSync to my CF card. Went to my CF card on my Axim and taped the file and it installed.
Here is my todayscreen:

It's probably journal bar from omegaone.com. It's not freeware but costs only $9.95 You can add several bars on your today screen like the weather, news, SE, etc...
Regards,
Peter
P.S. I'm looking for a freeware aletrnative for the weather (which isn't always up to date in the Benelux b.t.w)

- lets you display info on your today screen in a small area, very customizible if you dont like that checkered look, like I don't.
I like the look of tAgenda better than Calendar+. However, I noticed a significant slow down on everything if I had this plug-in turned on. I went back to Calendar+ because of this. I understand every plug-in would slow down things a bit, but the negative effect on performance was very obvious on tAgenda.I would love to go back to tAgenda if anyone can tell me how to do it without the slow down.
BattMemTime is new and appears interesting. It moniters your battery and memory, and can tell you how long you have been using the Pocket PC (such as since the last charge). That would be great if you were trying to test your battery. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, though.

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...threadid=14228 -- here is a fairly in-depth comparison I did between Icbar, and the new Wisbar Advance, both have pros and cons. I am acutally still using Icbar for the most part, but have both installed.
Here are some more Freeware Apps I use:
http://www.geocities.com/zavorine/wince/mp3.htm -- NoteM, this is an MP3 voice notes recorder, which encodes DIRECTLY to MP3, which means you can save in high quality and still not exhaust a memory card for hours.
http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm -- Total Commander, this is a fairly complex File Explorer program, though, its GUI is a little confusing, but it gets the job done.
http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/fg/dockware.htm -- Dockware, it plays a slideshow of images you put in a folder, with a clock on top, when docked. Hey, it's better than looking at Activesync!
http://home.attbi.com/~jonsachs/ -- StopTime, a nice timer program with lots of features, reminders, and more!
