Invalid File problems

I have a problem with invalid files on my storage card. They have invalid filenames, and because of this, I can not rename or delete them. The files have names that are just symbols. Also, File Explorer indicates that they are huge in size, although I think that the file size is misrepresented. First, anyone know how these files got there? And second, how can I delete them if the normal methods are not working? I would appreciate any insight.

That's really weird. what names do they have?

if yopu got all the rest of your files off the card, i'd try the cnet flash format tool.

http://www.cnetx.com/Format/features.asp

just reformat the card and start over. its possible they were generated due to an error on the card, which, according to this tool's writeup, this can correct...

hope this helps

i would say corruption. u probably left your PDA next to your PC's monitor or something simmilar.

Stick em in a card reader on a windows machine, and open a command prompt and type

chkdsk *: /f

where *= the drive letter that the card is. the /f means fix, it will look for errors and corruption and fix it.

good luck :)
