I don't know about "BEST". But Adobe has a pocketpc version on their site that works good enough for me. There is also a VGA hack posted around here somewhere that will work on the x50v to help make the text shaper. Good Luck~

You have 3 main options for viewing PDF files
1) Adobe acrobat (free, works well with native files, looks stunning in 'true vga mode'
2) clearvue PDF (have to buy it, quicker for some PDF files, allows VGA output at higher resolution)
3) Convert to Repligo format (converts pdf to smaller files, may be quicker but doesn't work with native pdf on your axim)
All have their pros and cons. But you can get demos for free and work out which is the best for you

Thanks for the input!. I've read in some place that the Picsel Browser works very well with PDF's, but not sure if it only exists for Palm.

well a quick suggests it also seems to exist for smartphones and Zaurus. Neither of which really help us...

I've tried the Clearvue PDF, and what I meant was simply a PDF reader...that's to say, something that just display the document. Nothing of creativity!. I'm beginning to think that I should have bought a Palm T5...
I've to try the Adobe Acrobat and the unpleasant conversion with the Repligo though.
Regards

you can try it for 15 days
http://www.westtek.com/pocketpc/pdf/
Well, for creativity I mean that I doesn't display the document as it is supposed to, at least my PDF's that contain equations and figures. I just tried the free Adobe Acrobat and it's more faithful to the original document and displays fine the equations. BTW, the silly question of the day, how can I switch the dasplay of the x50v from landscape to potrait?. Unfortunately the Acrobat is too simple, and doesn't have this option (at least, I've not found!).
Regards.

the adobe reader is free and looks stunning in 'true' vga mode.
and most people map a button (in settings ) to rotate screen. i use the home button to toggle portrait and landscape modes
