Why not delete them in outlook and then sync?

hmmmmmm I will try that and get back to u! I was also thinking like a registry tweek that could set expired appointments to automatically delete...

Nope, no registry tweak.

You can have AS only sync the last 4 weeks (for example), or you can have Outlook auro-archive older items.

I have mine set to two weeks on active sync. This way i don't have to worry about it getting to large.
