Can anyone suggest some small, easy today plugins.
Instead of having some huge spb pocket plus or wisbar 2, which eats ram and slows your x50v, I'd like something that will have that is simple, small (size) and compatible in VGA.

I've installed WisBar2 and got a horrible ugly theme that ruined mine :( .

Spb Pocketplus didn't do much, everything to pixelated.

I know I could somehow get VGA skins, but that just makes more eaten up space on my RAM.

Any suggestions?

There are loads of plug ins.. did you want one that did anything in particular?

(I like Pocket Breeze... but I've really grown to love iLauncher)

Enhance in just about everything, eye candy or startbar or today screen, as long as it keeps main memory usage/cpu usage to the smallest compared to big-shot plugins, such as Pocket Plus, Breeze, or WisbarA.

Oh yeah, freeware = better :D

Maybe I mis-read what you posted but you want a plug-in that enhances everything use little system resources and if possible be free.


I have both spb pocket plus, wisbar advance 2, pocket breeze and weatherpanel. I have around 21meg of free memory (program) and the PPC is very perky no real slow downs.

I kind of think you want your cake and eat it too, that is you cannot have everything (bells whistles + functionality) and have those things use little memory. Just my $.02

Yeah, what you are asking will definately cost you resources, especially with any kind of skinning you do. But, if you install items properly then you don't have a resource problem. I am currenlty running Wisbar Advance 2, Wisbar Advance Desktop with 4 virtual pages, Pocket Breeze, PocketRSS as a tab in PocketBreeze, Weather Panel, and Meters in WAD. And my memory usage is as follows:

Storage: 6.31MB used, 6.73MB Free
Program: 20.07MB used, 28.64MB Free

My program memory will sometimes go up, but I still always have over 20MB free.

So, if things are installed correctly you will get very good results.

I'll give it a try. I'm thinking of WisBar, b/c of it's nicer startmenu. Im just worried aabout pixelation, and i havent seen many VGA (maybe 2 or 3) skins i like :(. Any poiinters?

Oh well, I found EXACTLY what I was looking for :D!

It's only 20Kbytes in my main memory.
It looks perfect in Se_VGA (no skins needed)

Small, useful --> It's "launcher"
Great today plugin.
