To begin, I was an owner of a Axim X5 back when I registered my membership here, I lost control of it to my girlfriend for the last year or so, and just bought an X30H.

I've been expirementing with File Explorer applications and really like Resco. The only problem being it's registration price seems a bit high for how often I use it.

Reading through the threads here I found someone talking about Advanced Explorer and that it was only 3$ to register.

Upon visiting their site and using the purchase link. I see two items placed in the cart for checkout. Which of these is the application itself? One is called "eSellerate Download Service (eDS) - Advanced Explorer - Advanced Explorer" and the other is "Advanced Explorer (eDS". If anyone has purchased this could you let me know?

If it's the one that's 14.99 I might as well just register Resco.

I purchased Advanced Explorer quite awhile ago, and there was no such thing as eSellerate Download Service (eDS) - Advanced Explorer - Advanced Explorer. If you click on the download link on their site, you will only get the link for the regular advexplr_setupv.5.1.11.a.exe so I believe that is all you would need for the actual program install. You might want to email them to find out what that other file is.

Wow, the price sure has gone up a lot. At that price, it certainly isn't that attractive anymore. Resco is more polished, so if you can spare a few more dollars, I'd go with that for sure. There is a Handango coupon code floating around that reportedly still works. You can find the thread here.

BTW, have you looked into Total Commander? I think it's better than Advanced Explorer (but doesn't have the recycle bin) and it's free!

Just before you hit the Buy button... try Total Commander as suggested by Gigi it's very good and very free :approve: (unlike Gigi who is just very good )
