How do smartphone apps differ from ppc apps?

I think it best fits here.
How do smart phone apps differ from ppc apps?
They both run WM2003, they use ARM processors, have a touch screen... the only difference I see is the phone usually has a keypad and phone functionality.

Im thinking why wouldnt Opera for the smartphone run on the PPC when the PPC is equivalent or superior in terms of hardware to the SmartPhone option? (WM2003 smartphones specifically)

Current Smartphones do not have touch screens. You're thinking of PPCPE devices like the iMate line.

Anyway it's enough to make PPC installs impossible.

Yes, I've come across several apps I wish had Smartphone components/installs, only to be informed that because they don't have touchscreens, they won't work.

O_O no touchscreen?!
-_- I still think it wouldnt be too difficult to make it so it runs on the PPC without touch support.
