Question One contact, muliple birthdays/anniversaries

Anyone know of a program that is specifically for storing and reminding of birthdays/anniversaries/etc?

I use Pocket Informant, Pocket Breeze, Contact Breeze, etc....but those don't allow for if I have ONE contact stored (i.e. "Mom and Dad" or "Brother and family") but I want to list and be reminded of MULTIPLE birthdays/anniversaries/etc...

Did that make sense?

Use appointment or task

Since Desktop and Pocket Outlook only supports one birthday and anniversary per contact, I use all day appt to keep track.

Any program to support this would be too complex and probably not worth the effort.

Agree, using an appt only would be one way around this. I finally gave up and entered a contact for each. For example, mom has one with her bday and dad has one with his bday and their anniversary.

Luckily with so many other options (emails and cell phones), most folks I know need their own contact record anyway.

Pocketbreeze has a special events tab that shows birthday/anniversarys. Data is collected from contacts and appointments.

I have set up birthdays and anniversaries under one category as all day appointments. The start date is the date of birth and is a yearly reoccuring appointment(displays age). Then the special events tab is set up for All categories(this will grab data from contacts), days span = 365, filter category 1 for birthday/anniversarys.

This would allow you to show data from contacts and appointments for cases where you do not want to use contacts.

PI Can

Pocket informant (latest version)can list/track birthdays and anniversaries You need to have catagories of birthday and anniversaries. Then set up an appointment that is yearly recurring, all day (free) and put it in the birthdays or annerversies catagory. Works fine.

I like this feature in PocketBreeze too! It turns the data from your contacts birthdays and anniversaries into one big list and adds up how many years the event has. Have you checked this tab out yet? I have problems with duplicates in other areas, but never seen them in this listing. It's excellent! :approve:

I have always just entered a contact for each person. So for my sister, her husband, and two kids, I have a total of four contacts. I like this setup because then my calendar automatically shows the age of the person. Especially good for nieces and nephews because that is always so hard to keep track of the ages.
