To Agenda Fusion or not to Agenda Fusion, that is the question.

Hi,
I'm on the verge of buying Agenda Fusion - primarily because it has the potentially very useful, for me, project screen.
I plan and run courses and I'd like a way of being able to see how many lessons are outstanding and to have the ability to re-schedule , which is something I need to do regularly. To this end, it would be useful to see the number of occurances on screen - say lesson '10 of 16'.
Does anyone know if there is software which can do this and do all the stuff which AF does?

Another thing I would like would be the ability to search for and see all the entries for a course - if I try to do this in AF, I just get one entry from the reccurance. Using categories does not seem to help much either.

Maybe I need some Progect management application , but it would help if it could integrate with PIM functions, especially contacts.

If any of you has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I have Agenda Fusion, but have not made extensive use of the Project part. Superlist might help if what you are looking for is a hierarchical listing function. Others might have better suggestions, and you can search the forums under "project management."

Thanks for the suggestion Nan. I'm not sure that a listing program would be enough for what I'd like to do, but I'll check it out. Thinking about it some more, I suppose I want the ability to create 15 numbered entries without having to copy and paste them into the relevant dates, as this would enable me to see each of the entres when I search for them. I can then see how many lessons have been completed and how many have to be done. It sounds simple enough to do, but I'm not sure whether any PIMs can be manipulated in this way. Maybe a project manager app would be over the top.

The project feature in AF is brand new. it just was released with version 7.0. current version is only 7.25. So look for steady improvements. Also, AF is very fast on the upgrades, every few months they are improving something or another.

AF is very tempting - I'm using the trial at the mo and I do like it. The Project screen is a great way of getting to info about one 'project' easily.

Maybe I should wait for a future version. I'm looking at Project Management software at the mo, but so far nothing seems to be what I'm looking for. I suppose my idea program is a sort of hybrid between a project manager app and a planning app - this is why AF caught my eye - it's off down this road, but it's not yet got to a destination which satisfies my requirements.

I guess I'd like to be able to enter a start date and have the application enter all the different stages and important events automatically - but with the ablity to update itself when things get moved around. The 'different stages and important events' could be set up by me once as a template and then this could be used for other projects (courses). Being able to integrate these projects would be useful too - so I could see my free time and fit things around other pre-arranged events.
