I just installed this program and have the battery monitor selected. I don't see the monitor anywhere. I am also running Magic Button. Could this be causing a conflict?

To display AM/PM, like what tweak2k2 does - I'll need to figure out the settings. Shouldn't be too hard.
While we're on the topic of the clock, while you're digging around those settings, please see if there is a way to change the font or font size of the time. I just want the time to take up less space up top.

I think I've seen some screenshots with the time shown vertically, so 03:45pm shows as
03
45

This is most likely due to some other program showing the time instead so most likely this will not happen. :)

Thanks!

Maybe magic button's battery meter is covering it. Try disabling it.

I just checked and the Magic Button battery monitor was turned on. I didn't realize it was turned on because that one doesn't display either. I always have to go into settings to check the remaining battery power. I turned off the Magic Button battery monitor but don't see the Dogfood monitor

What are your settings for the monitor? Can you provide a screen shot, please?

AM/PM in clock display

To display the AM/PM in the clock is not difficult, however, it seems that the clock has a bug, and the tweaks provides a workaround which causes problem elsewhere.

If you use Tweak2k2 to enable that, have you ever noticed that the display in "Clock & Alarms" screws up? Instead of displaying AM and PM, it displays A7/P7 or some other numbers rather than "M"? Besides, that tweak does not respects the current locale, if the current locale is in non-Latin languages. Supposely, it should pickup whatever is defined in the "Regional Settings".

So, I'm not going to do this tweak/hack/workaround to screw up the reset of the system.

I don't have anyway to do a screen shot. My screen is set to Portrait, ClearType is on, and Text Size is set to the smallest. The date and time are displayed in the upper right hand corner. The year part of the date is cut off in the middle of the zero and there is nothing displayed from there to the right side on the top bar.

Are you on WM5? I know the year gets cut off on WM5.

When I was asking for the settings, I was actually asking the monitor settings in the RegTweak tool.

You do know that the monitor bar is only 1 pixel wide by default setting on the top and/or bottom of the screen (depends on what you have enabled). Don't you? It is not obvious if you don't know that. (And that's the beauty of it.)

could you look at modifying Switcher bar so that it covers (hopefully replaces) the x button (maybe a hex edit?)

thanks and keep up the good work!

Sorry, the monitor setting in the regTweak tool are: Enable monitor, Battery level indicator. Yes I am on WM5.

Now that I am playing with the settings and with you reminding me that it is only one pixel I have realized the indicator is there, it just isn't what I was expecting or looking for. Very cool! Thanks for the help

Hi Kronchev,

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean. You want to replace the x button behavior? What do you mean by the hex edit? Sounds like you want to have two additional utilities.

Hi,
I've installed it on x51v and it works beautifully!
Only thing is the line above the activesync icon flickers on and off when charging. But this is a real minor issue! thanks for sharing.

Problem with this tweak

This tweak caused my x51v to revert to keyboard input no matter what I did, including Registry alterations. Beware.

The only tweak related to input is the number of suggested words while entering text. Could you be more specific on what input you had that got reverted? Also the steps you changed to different input before. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Whenever you soft-reset, the input method reverts to the keyboard. Changing this registry entry will set it to your desired default each time.

KEY: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip\

NEW VALUES: DefaultIm =

Input type

Set to this String value
Keyboard {42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}
Letter Recognizer {42429690-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}
Block Recognizer {42429691-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}

For other IMEs you have installed, you would need to find the value for them.

I'll add this to my future releases.

"I'll add this to my future releases."

Glad to hear that there will be some future releases - but I like the program 'as is' except for some minor issues. (eg the cache-problem)
May I humble suggest that the next issue contains no new features - only fixes on reported problems.
Think that will be my 'baseline' - except of course if you come up with something real exceptional -
but that you already did ;-)
