though it took me a while to figure out that the cpu load bar is at the bottom of the screen...hehe

is it possible to make the bar any thicker? right now i see the option to choose betwen 1 to 3 & 3 looks small (to me).

3 is still too thin for you?! Wow. I don't like it being too intrusive so I use 1 myself.

Sure I can make it even thicker. How much do you want? Hopefully not cover up the whole title bar. ;-) But don't expect a new release anytime soon. I'm quite busy lately.

This gets fixed by following Frenchys advice in the following thread, it's basically creating a registry key and setting it's value.

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=131570

Seems that people would like to see this integrated into your regtweak dogfood, but I don't think it's too vital.

I still think your little tool is great dogfood, something I make sure is always installed if I hard-reset.

Thanks for the information, Mokubai.

I could add this in my next build.

But I've never seen the battery icon on my device (unless it is really running low). Is this specific to phone edition or WM5? I've tried both values (0 and 1) for that setting and made sure they presist, but there is no effect at all.

It is definitely specific to wm5, and it may be specific to a12. all I know is I couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

It is specific to WM5. It was introduced with the AKU2 update from microsoft, which is included in A12. And, like DeeCee52, I couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

I tried to live with it but it was so flakey it was annoying, if you ran a program straight after standby it would stick with the battery icon and I would be without a clock. I also have Dogfoods great program for telling me battery level so why would i need a crappy icon saying I've got "ooh, maybe like 50% man, but I'm not really sure..."

On an A06 X51 it should have no effect and same for WM2003 devices, though setting it shouldn't do any harm.

Button Assignment doesn't work (for me)

I have an AximX51V, I was interested mainly for the screen rotation assigned to a button option.

I have unassigned the button in WM5's settings buttons by setting the application to <none>, but when I try to assign it in RegTweak, it gives me an error saying

"Cannot map the same button to two functions"

I've tried it with both the record button and the Calendar button with the same error. Done soft resets in between, confirmed the button no longer does anything by pressing it.

Any help appreciated,

Dave

I have been having this problem also. I think that this is a bug in the program but it should be fix in the next update.

Screen Rotation Problem

I would still like to do this from a button, but until then.

I found a bunch of shortcuts, one to "Screen". I copied the shortcut "20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,7" to notepad on my pc, saved it as "screen.lnk" and copied it to my device in the "Windows/Start Menu" and I can now click Start...screen and the option to rotate my screen comes up.

I originally had 7 items in my Start Menu, so I had to delete one before I could copy "screen.lnk" in there.

There are a bunch of shortcuts at the link below.

A test build is attached to fix the problem. Could you please try it out and verify if it is indeed fixed?
  1. Download the attached zip file
  2. Unzip the file to retrieve regtweak.cpl
  3. Copy the unzipped file to your device under "\windows" folder
  4. Go to "Settings" and try it out

Thanks.

File Type: zip RegTweak.zip (28.7 KB, 36 views)

Screen Rotation X51v Fixed

That is sweeeeet. :approve:

Much better than my start menu shortcut.

How does it know to use the "left handed" landscape. I'm a lefty, so thats what I always pick.

Thanks alot for the quick turnaround, and enjoy the holidays.

It doesn't. The rotation takes the screen setting of the previous rotation direction. I can't take credit for that.

Have to had the chance to test out the button assignment problem you reported earlier? Please let me know.
Update: I guess it already means that it works now.

Happy Holiday!
