Today I have found an error in the DAVA 2.0.5 Picture Viewer.
Maybe someone have experienced the same findings, so allow me to quote my email to support@dicesoft.com:


I would like to report an inconsistency in DAVA 2.0.5 Picture Viewer.

When I select DAVA to be the default viewer of bmp, gif, jpeg and png files in
Tools/Settings/File associations
then I have NO response from DAVA when I try to open f.ex \Windows\BOOT.bmp from the file explorer.

I found out that there is an inconsistency between name of the program and its folder
and the name used in }the registry database.

The folder and program are labled
Program Files\DAVA2003\Dava2003.exe
But the registry database it's simply
Program Files\DAVA\Dava.exe

After I corrected this inconsistency everything works fine, so I suggest to you to do just the same into the next release :-)

While I'm here, may I suggest that the ORIGINAL link in the registry database will be restored if you UNCHECK the file association in DAVA.
For example: unchecking the jpeg files should restore the link to 'Pictures'

Now the solution to this error is to rename

Program Files\DAVA2003\Dava2003.exe
to

Program Files\DAVA\Dava.exe

and to provide the same corrections to the content of DAVA2003.lnk which in my case is found in
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

Of cause you can apply the corrections to the registry database if you dare, but be sure to make a back-up first !
