I'm recently getting an error in Resco Audio Recorder that says: "Memory full! Recording Stopped." It simply won't record...which is why I bought the program.
It doesn't matter where I configure a new recording file to be stored, SD card (preferred) Main Memory or Built in storage. The error comes up every time, even after soft resets, running MemMaid, reinstalling the whole program, etc.
Anyone experience this/have ideas how to solve? I've done a search on this site, resco forums and even Google and haven't found that error message anywhere else...how did I get so lucky?
how much free RAM do you have? and how much storage space do you have where your are saving your recordings? which resco recorder version are you running? I'm using 3.21 and never had a problem.

Hey Akheron,
Right now I have about 26MB of free RAM: I've allocated 20 for Program Memory and 6 for Storage Memory.
I am trying to record to my SD card, which has about 400 MB free...
I am also using Resco Recorder version 3.21. It always used to work until half way through last week...I did do a hard reset around that time, but you'd think it would work again from a fresh install, no? Everything else is working fine...
It sometimes does so, independent on the size of the actual RAM/target media (as I've also pointed out in my articles/posts on Resco).
The solution is simple: always soft-reset your PDA (or, at least, exit Resco if it's already running) before starting the recording. It'll greatly reduce the number of problems like this.

Thank you for the reply! However, I did try soft-resetting immediately before launching Resco Audio, and it gave me the same error it always does. Even if that did work, that wouldn't be a very attractive solution... Besides, it always used to work just fine.
Also Menneisyys, could you please send me a specific link to your article on Resco Audio Recorder? I looked for about 30 minutes in your huge list of articles but couldn't find it.

(I haven't reviewed iPlay yet, which is also capable of recording into MP3. Will ASAP write a new version of the review, incomparating all the above-mentioned apps and iPlay.
I finally caved in and did a hard reset. I now have 29.57 MB of free Program space, and 11.22 MB of free Storage. That's a lot of free storage space, no? I was very careful not to install things to main memory but to Built-in storage or SD card.
Even after all this, Resco gives me the same "Memory full! Recording Stopped" business!! I can hardly believe it. Again, I target the new desired audio files for my SD card, which has 328 MB of free space. This is making no sense to me.
I've read the articles suggested but there is nothing addressing this problem that I found.
Anybody else with this problem? What have you tried to get around this?

When was your storage card last formatted? Are you writing directly to its root file system (which can indeed cause problems), or into a subdirectory?

Menneisyys,
Unfortunately I haven't ever reformatted it. Never had any probs before, though...its a 6 month old 1GB Lexar SD card but I've only filled it about 2/3.
Anyway, I can't get Resco to record ANYWHERE (Main Mem, BIS, or SD) so I don't imagine it is a problem originating on the storage card.
And to answer your other question--I've tried both the root and subdirectories of the SD card and get the same error as always...
Am I the only one in the universe with this problem!?
No you are not the only person in the universe with this problem. I just purchased Resco Audio 3.21 and when I started recording for a while it timed out with the same error you are getting. I am recording to an empty 1GB compact flash card. My x51v is also new so there is plenty of free space.
On the bright side, Resco does allow me to record long enough to say "this is annoying."

Welcome to my universe!
The latest in the saga is that I wrote Resco and they finally wrote back saying:
