Simple en/decrypt utility

There are many programs out there which can en/decrypt database-like files but I'm looking for a (free?) utility that will en/decrypt a text-file without too much trouble.

It's important that I can use the cut and paste function.

I'm not looking for anything fancy like PGP or so.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks for the only answer ! Yet?

Yes, a bunch which I hav'nt the energy to test.
Most of them are dedicated to pins, password, creditcards etc.

I need to protect plain text-files in my PDA.
Which program will do ?

I use Tombo is like notes but a lot better has a preview window and you can encrypt each note separately, hopes this fits your needs.....:approve:

Thanks, ironhelix !

That's much better - whydidn't you tell me this in the first place ;-)

ccrryyppttoo is performing just as requested - except that I haven't found how 'File info' works - yet !

Thanks for your reply, Empel1960 !

ccrryyppttoo is performing just as requested, but I must admit that I'm attracted to the tree-structure of 'Tombo' and that the filenames are encrypted also.

Tombo is not a simple utility as originally requested but I will give it a try anyhow :-)

I'm really glad that I resently have joined the Aximsite community.

It's great !
