Notem 1.1O problem

I can no longer record to my SD Card. Oh, it will, but only for about 1 or 2 seconds. I can record to Main Memory, or to my CF Card with no problem. Anyone have this problem or an explanation? undefined

Did you check to see if you have enough space? Or if the card's switch is set to the lock position?

Moved to Applications.

The SD card works fine. I can copy the MP3 file recorded with NoteM from the CF card to the SD card. For some reason I just cannot record directly to the SD card for more than one or two seconds. I'm stumped. Everything worked fine until I messed up and allowed my back up battery to go dead and failed to charge the main battery for more than a week. I did not have the NoteM application backed up. I had to reinstall the program to the PDA. Ever since, I've experienced this problem.

Maybe one or more of NoteM's settings got screwed up. On the preview screen, go to "Tools > Options". On the "Recorder" tab, look at the settings for the maximum recording time and the maximum drive usage; maybe one of them is so low that recording stops after a few seconds. Also, the recording bitrate may be too high for the SD card. Tap "Change" under "Advanced Settings" and try a lower rate.

Hope this helps.

Optimize your SD card - NoteM is VERY choosy in this respect. It won't record to unoptimized cards. Please read this article .

I see I misunderstood alemap's original problem.

Thank you, Menneisyys, for the link. I learned a lot. Your posts (both on Aximsite and elsewhere) are always excellent tutorials.
