How does trial software "know?"
First of all, with my question, I'm not trying to cheat the system. I pay for all the applications I use. Honest.
However, I must say it bothers me when I: 1)install a trial app. with has, say, a 14-day trial period 2)Uninstall the trial app 3) Install the trial app maybe months later to try it again and get a message saying the trial has expired.
Again, I'm not trying to cheat the system. After all, sometimes you just want to go back and try software again many months down the road -- only to find out that you can't. Also, it kind bothers me that there are remnants of data from an uninstalled application still taking up precious Axim memory.
I understand why developers would want this. Certainly, cheats could just keep installing and uninstalling to avoid paying their fair share. However, to the honest people out there, where is this application data stored and how can it be safely removed.
