Airscanner (Sniffer)
You boy's and girl's have to try

Airscanner

The best so far (in my opinion). Best of all its free for personal use. While driving around in my city, I found mutiple open ap's
and many passwords. Some peeps don't understand security
or feel theres no need for it where they live. Using this proves the point. Security matters. If I were a malicious hacker then I would have (and could) change passwords, take info, install backdoors...etc..etc.... What does it take to get these peeps to figure it out? Anywho Heres some info ----

Features
Airscanner(TM) Mobile Sniffer gives you the power to:

Sniff wireless packets in promiscuous mode
Decode UDP, TCP, Ethernet, DNS, and NetBios packets
Conduct network analysis on an entire WLAN segment
Customize filters for source and/or destination IP Address, UDP Port, TCP Port, or MAC
View real-time packet statistics
Save results of capture sessions
Export data to Ethereal format for further analysis on a desktop PC
Benefits
Airscanner(TM) Mobile Sniffer advantages include:
True promiscuous wireless sniffing
Works on most Pocket PC devices
Supports a broad range of wireless network cards
Free for home or personal use
World class customer support for commercial licenses
Crystal-clear network analysis thanks to Ethereal format support
Logo Certified by Microsoft for Pocket PC
Requirements:
Windows CE device running PocketPC 2002
Licensing:
Free for home or personal (non-commercial) use
Corporate, Educational, Government, and Small Business/Home Office users must purchase an annual license within 30 days of installing the software.

Have fun with this and have a look around to see how many peeps are insecure.

It's free
I just downloaded it. No issues. It will take a while to read the user instructions. I am curious to see if this is as easy as indicated by the original poster and the web site. It was a straight forward install with no issues.

Has anyone tried this with the Ambicom drivers yet, or is this another "need the intersil driver" program?

I wonder why no one supports the Ambicom. It's such a nice piece of hardware.

Doesn't work with the TM1180 card since it's the "prism I" type...

Very cool program... Downloaded it last week, but finally had a chance to play with it today. Going to come in very handy for network analysis, etc. And it could be fun too. FYI, I'm using an Ambicom CF WiFi card with the Intersil drivers.

Drivers?
I am not familiur with the INTERSIL drivers. I have had no problem with my Ambicom so what is the advantge of the intersil driver?
Well duhhhhhh I went to the Ambicom site and look at the tech specs and found that the ambicom uses the Intersil Prism 2.5 drivers.
Silly me.
