You don't have an hp48 rom named the same as referenced in the file. You can open the KML file with a text editor and see what rom it is looking for. Should be close to the start of the file. Either download the rom file referenced or change the text in the KML file to reference the hp48 rom file you have.

You probably didn't install the ROM. You can find what you need in posts within this thread and the links they contain.

EXCELLENT! I found this thread and had to register and post. Following the links and instructions here, I had the emulator up and running on my PPC6700 (WM5) phone in less than 20 minutes.
I have my 48gx on my desk ready to be used at all times(going strong since I was in high school), and I am excited that I can have it at my hip now as well! And what is REALLY amazing, I found the program that I wrote for it (http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=197) and lost long ago, so it can be sitting on my phone ready to use whenever I want. I feel like a kid at Christmas!

Whereever you decide if you are using SK tools CabInstall.
Otherwise, by default: \Program Files\GNU Emu48 Emulator\

I need help
I have the emu48ce.exe in the program files/emu48ce folder along with the multitude of kml files, bmp files, and the rom file. When I click on the icon, it launches the program very quickly and then goes closes the program. What gives?

Look back through this thread. You need the ROM image file. Others were able to figure it out.
I know it's a PITA, but once you get it running you don't have to worry about it ever again.
